Greg McManus has worked in tourism for the past forty years and has in that time held a number of positions, from operational management in hotels, to Director of Standards for the former SATOUR. In 1996, he established Heritage as South Africa’s first tourism-based environmental certification label, and grew the brand to over 400 hotels, resorts and lodges across eight African countries. He has served on the ISO T228 committee for sustainable tourism and is Chairman of the Event Greening Forum, Africa’s only industry association focussed on sustainable events and conferences. He serves in a number of capacities and is recognised as one of the country’s specialists in responsible and sustainable tourism.
