Shamilla Chettiar is the Deputy Director General of Policy and Knowledge-Services at the Department of Tourism . Shamilla has occupied various roles within Public Sector, most recently on the Cradle of Humankind World Heritage Site and Dinokeng tourism geo-spatial projects in Gauteng. Shamilla has experience in an unusually high number of varied disciplines that range from policy development, land use and spatial planning to monitoring and evaluation, public participation, heritage management and tourism infrastructure planning. She has extensive experience in all aspects of tourism including destination planning, development, management and marketing.
