Megan is a highly motivated, creative woman with an extreme passion for exhibitions,
eventing, marketing and the Travel & Tourism industry as well as the Health & Fitness

Hardworking, loyal and committed to excelling in all she and her team do, Megan goes
above and beyond to deliver world-class events. A true team player with good interpersonal
skills, Megan prides herself in her ability to work with others in a synergistic fashion and
places great value on the growth and input of the people she works alongside.

Megan’s background includes a Bachelor of Commerce degree in Marketing
Communications with a major in Tourism. Having worked in the Travel Industry for over 10
years, Megan started her career in the Destination Management division of Tourvest.

Starting in Marketing Communications in the Inbound brand, Welcome Tourism Services,
Megan later grew into a central Marketing role when she headed up the group marketing
department for Tourvest Destination Management and Tourvest Business and Sporting
Events. Coupled with marketing, Megan also found her passion working on events and
partook in Ticketing for MTN Africa during the 2010 Soccer World Cup and also assumed an
events organisation role at the Tourism Indaba on behalf of Tourvest Destination
Management every year.

After almost 8 years with Tourvest, Megan joined Reed Exhibitions in 2015 as the Marketing
Manager for WTM Africa and IBTM Africa where she oversaw and drove world-class
branding and communications for two successful travel trade exhibitions.

In 2017, Megan then assumed the role of General Marketing Manager adding the brand
ILTM Africa to her portfolio. In this role, she passionately promoted the WTM Africa, ILTM
Africa and IBTM Africa brands and oversaw all the events’ relative marketing aspects.
In May 2018, Megan was promoted to her current role, Portfolio General Manager for Reed
Exhibitions South Africa’s Travel, Tourism and Sport department in which includes various
dynamic trade and consumer shows namely; WTM Africa, ILTM Africa, IBTM Africa and
FIBO Global Fitness Africa.

Megan and her team passionately use the exhibition and eventing platforms to create
opportunities for industry brands to market their products and services to a captive audience
through face to face interaction using all of the 5 senses.
