Africa leads #WRTA16 longlist

An incredible one-third of tourism organizations (or 28 out of 75 to be exact) longlisted for the 2016 World Responsible Tourism Awards can be found in Africa‬! Fittingly, the longlist was announced on ‪#AfricaDay2016‬.

A full 15 of the #WRTA16 contenders were winners in the 2015 or 2016 African Responsible Tourism Awards. The African Responsible Tourism Awards are part of the World Responsible Tourism Awards family and are held during WTM Africa.

The 2016 list of finalists will be released in August, with the winners announced at a special ceremony at WTM London during World Responsible Tourism Day on 8th November 2016.
